Youth Activities
From our Advent wreath-making to our Easter egg hunt, children and youth participate and lead in seasonal activities at Good Shepherd. You’ll find us in the kitchen prepping to sell chili for the Souper Bowl of Caring in February and handing out ice cream treats after church in July. We serve alongside adults throughout the year, both as acolytes for Sunday Mass and as equal partners with our guilds and in annual projects such as our Lenten Day of Prayer and Service, where we assemble 20,000 meals for the hungry.
A weeklong mission work trip to Appalachia in June has been a youth rite of passage for generations. But we also enjoy some pure play times, especially at the end of Advent when we gather with Father Lyon to see a movie at the Nickelodeon, go out to lunch or compete in some wild Minute to Win It games in the parish hall.
We’re all about growing in our faith while learning the joy of Christian fellowship.
We’re family. We’re fun.
